The AIFN static sites set no cookies of their own. The complete list of what can appear, why there is no banner, and what these sites deliberately do not do.

Short version: four of the five AIFN static sites (aifirstnation.org, airi.foundation, hokkien.me, aiready.sg) set no cookies of their own: none for analytics, none for advertising, none for “remembering you”. ai4sme.org sets one functional access cookie, listed below. There is no cookie banner because nothing here needs consent. Everything in the table is strictly necessary or functional.

That is the complete list. The two Cloudflare cookies are set by the network layer, not by the sites, and everything in the table is exempt from consent requirements everywhere that has such requirements (including the EU’s ePrivacy rules) because the sites cannot be delivered or accessed securely without them. The ai4sme.org cookie exists only on that site; the other four static sites set nothing of their own.
What these sites deliberately do not do
- No Google Analytics or any other analytics. No
_ga,_gidor_gatwill ever appear here. - No advertising or marketing cookies, no cross-site trackers, no social-media pixels.
- No “functional” cookies that remember your name or preferences between visits. The forms do not need them.
- No local storage or session storage used for tracking.
- The on-device features in the ecosystem, all honest and all local-only: hokkien.me saves your course progress (and text-size choice) in your browser’s local storage, ai4sme.org saves your adoption-checklist ticks the same way, and aiready.sg saves your course progress in local storage and holds any pAIRI reading plan in the tab’s session storage only. None of it ever leaves your device, none of it is a cookie, and none of it is tracking. Clear them any time from your browser settings.
When you sign up for the newsletter, no cookie is set. When you use the contact form, no cookie is set.
The third-party touchpoints
The forms on the static sites are screened server-side (see the Privacy & Data Policy, section 3.4); no third-party script or embed runs in your browser for that screening.
Some essays on aifirstnation.org show YouTube videos behind click-to-play panels. Preview images load from Google’s image servers when you scroll to them; the videos themselves run in Google’s privacy-enhanced embed (youtube-nocookie.com) only after you click play, and from that point Google’s rules apply to that player.
If we ever add measurement
Should these sites ever adopt a measurement tool, it will be a cookieless, aggregate one (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics, no cookies, no personal data), and this page will say so on the day it goes live. We will not quietly add anything that sets a cookie; if that ever changed, so would this page, the same day.
Other platforms in the ecosystem
Three sites in the AIFN ecosystem run their own platforms and do use cookies for signed-in users, session management, assessments, and site analytics:
- airihub.io (the AIRI assessment and editions platform): its own privacy policy, at airihub.io/privacy-policy, describes what it sets.
- community.aifirstnation.org (the community, WordPress): its own privacy and cookie notices, published on that site, cover those.
The static sites covered by this statement have no accounts, no logins, and no WordPress infrastructure, which is why four of the five can honestly say they set no cookies of their own, and ai4sme.org sets only the two access cookies in the table above.
